On Thursday afternoon, six weeks after her pledge to renew the assault-weapons ban in the wake of the Newtown shootings, California Senator Dianne Feinstein will introduce legislation that would ban many popular assault rifles and semi-automatic weapons, including pistols ? plus magazines with over 10 rounds. The "Assault Weapons Ban of 2013," previewed at a news conference midday Thursday with Feinstein and Connecticut senators surrounded by victims of gun violence, seeks to restrict the sale of the following weapons (as captured in a screenshot of the bill by The Daily Caller's Alex Pappas):?

At the news conference, Feinstein, along with Senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, displayed actual assault rifles ? not unlike NBC's David Gregory, who (illegally) held up a magazine clip on?Meet the Press?? though, as CNN's Dana Bash reports, they got a special permit for that:
